Life Milestones

Baptisms

Baptism is central in Christian faith. It makes us members of the Church and embodies our new life as followers of Jesus Christ.

When your children are baptized, you commit to nurturing them in the Christian life and faith and helping them follow Christ’s example. When baptized as an adult, you commit to living as a member of the Church and fulfilling its promises and responsibilities.

If you are interested in exploring this commitment for yourself or your child, please contact Reverend Stephen Kirkegaard.

Weddings

The celebration of marriage at Holy Trinity, Guildwood is meant for people who seek to follow the way of Jesus Christ and enjoy being part of and worshipping with our community.

In order for a Christian marriage to exist, one of the engaged couple must be baptized. The Anglican Church accepts the baptism of any denomination that baptizes with water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If either of you is not baptized, baptismal preparation can be provided.

Couples wishing to get married at Holy Trinity will also be required to complete a marriage preparation course. This will give you the opportunity to discuss many important issues and deal with them together before your marriage.

We are an inclusive community which also offers blessings of same gender unions.

If you are interested in being married at Holy Trinity, please call our church office for more information.

Funerals

Funerals and memorial services mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping.

If you are interested in holding a funeral or memorial service at Holy Trinity, please contact our church office and ask to speak with Reverend Stephen Kirkegaard.
