Holy Trinity, Guildwood is very excited to welcome everyone to this year’s Christmas Concert!

Hosted by Alexandra Weiss, our 2023 Christmas Concert features two wonderful talents – Denise Williams and Douglas Von Edelmann; alongside the Twylite Band. Denise Williams has worked with The Nathaniel Dett Chorale, The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, Mirvish Productions, and most recently, the Orquesta Sinfonica de Oriente in Cuba. Douglas Von Eldermann has performed for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Prime Minister of Norway, and in many European concert halls and opera houses. Douglas teaches voice and piano in Toronto and is completing his Master’s Degree in Vocal Pedagogy.

Donations
Donations received will go internationally to aid the victims of the war through the humanitarian work of PWRDF (the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund) particularly for the intense needs in Gaza and the support of health facilities in the West Bank and Israel as well as the hunger crisis caused by the ongoing war in South Sudan and locally to the Home for the Heart Capital Campaign of the Sisterhood of St. John the Divine, to best create an oasis of hospitality and peace in Toronto. Inspired by the coming of the Prince of Peace, our hope for this concert is to come together in music and the Christmas Spirit to assist the growth of Peace at home and around the world.

A generous donor has offered a $100,000 matching challenge grant for all new and increased donations to FaithWorks & PWRDF. This means for every dollar you donate over last year’s amount, as an individual or parish, FaithWorks receives an extra dollar. We encourage you to make a special effort this year.
